What's appealing about this tour is that you can experience everything from making racks to propagation and harvesting all year round with the captain, who is a true oyster farmer from Matsushima, which you can't experience on regular tours.
I also learned a lot from a local Matsushima guide about the history of Oshima Island, a hidden gem, and the history of Murasaki Shrine. This is a recommended experience.
